It’s meat-free Monday and we have the perfect recipe to kick off the week.

This delectable vegetarian take on Fettucine Alfredo will surely make you forget you have no meat on your plate tonight.

One packet penne.
One cup cream.
Half a cup butter.
Half a cup grated Parmesan cheese.
One cup chopped fresh parsley.
One teaspoon salt.
Quarter teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
Quarter teaspoon garlic powder.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for eight to 10 minutes or until al dente; then drain.
Combine cream and butter in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Heat until butter melts, stirring occasionally; be careful not to bring mixture to a boil.
Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Toss with cooked pasta and serve immediately.
