Say ‘I love you’ with something special this Valentine’s Day

77% of women receive flowers or chocolates for Valentine’s Day. They want jewellery…

Ahead of Valentine’s Day 2018, PANDORA launched a global study revealing that 65% of women believe they receive better gifts from their Valentine when they drop hints.

With only 33% of women admitting they drop hints, the results of this study have sparked PANDORA to help lovers by encouraging women to speak up, and men to take more notice of their partner’s hints. The study is announced alongside the launch of PANDORA’s Valentine’s Day 2018 collection, offering a stunning collection of unique gifts.

The study, which interviewed over 7 000 men and women across seven countries and three continents, found that women consider jewellery the most covetable Valentine’s Day gift, yet 77% usually receive flowers or chocolates. The results also show that gift givers think it’s important that a Valentine’s Day gift reflects how well they know the receiver, however, 60% admit it is hard to find the right gift.

With a quarter of women saying that they often receive Valentine’s Day gifts they don’t like, PANDORA is urging women to drop bigger and bolder hints that won’t go unnoticed to ensure they get the gifts they really want this year.

PANDORA advises subtle, playful hints, such as sliding pictures of jewellery into their partner’s pockets or leaving wish lists in obvious places around the house to make sure it’s a Valentine’s Day to remember.

“Valentine’s Day is a great occasion to celebrate your love for each other and yourself. At PANDORA we know that women love to mark these momentous occasions with jewellery, which is why we’ve created a desirable new collection that presents the perfect gifts for women this Valentine’s Day,” explains Minna Phillipson, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at PANDORA.
